BGC's Brose Wins Award

The Bloomfield-Garfield Corporation's own deputy director, Aggie Brose, was one of the honorees at the YWCA's annual Tribute to Women leadership awards on May 20. Click here for the full list of honorees published in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

The YWCA's annual awards honor women from the greater Pittsburgh area who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in the workplace and in the community and for their contributions to the goals of the mission of the YWCA – to empower women and girls and to eliminate racism. Aggie received her well-deserved honor in the area of Community Empowerment.

Nominations Sought for "A Tribute to Women"

Do you know an exceptional woman who has made an impact in our community? It's time to make her accomplishments known. The YWCA Greater Pittsburgh is currently accepting nominations for the 2008 "A Tribute to Women Awards."

This year's awards will honor women in the following categories: Arts & Culture; Business & Industry; Civic & Community Service; Education; Entrepreneur; Health & Human Services; Professional Services; and Science & Technology.

Nomination forms are available online at www.ywcapgh.org. The deadline for nominations is Monday, Feb. 11. Awards will be presented at the 26th annual "A Tribute to Women Luncheon," which will take place at noon on Thursday, May 15, at the Hilton Pittsburgh.
