You are invited to join Garfield Farms and Urban Farming Initiative for a fundraising evening on July 11, from 7-10 p.m., at the Town Tavern, 2009 East Carson Street, on the South Side. Learn about the work being done by local youth and volunteers to green up vacant lands in Garfield and Larimar. Try your luck on the raffle for prizes. Chat up our guest bartenders. Discounted drinks will be available: $2, domestic draft beer, $2 well drinks, $2 glasses of wine, along with a free appetizer buffet. All proceeds will go to support and extend our local gardens.
