"Hard to Recycle" Day in Lawrenceville

It's spring again - the time when people are looking to clean house and get rid of their old stuff. This means time for the “Hard to Recycle” Collection Events. The Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC), along with the Allegheny County Health Department, will be collecting freon and non-freon appliances, e-waste, televisions, tires without rims, ink and toner cartridges, and cell phones. All materials will be recycled and refurbished.

Saturday, May 31, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Allegheny County Health Department Offices
39th Street and Penn Avenue, Lawrenceville

Fee structure is as follows:

Freon and non-freon appliances (refrigerators, air conditioners, washers, dryers, etc.) $5 per appliance
Tires (only accepting those without rims) $2 per tire
Desktop and laptop computers $5
Monitors $8
Combination of PC, monitor, keyboard, & mouse $12
Mixed wire/cable/mice/keyboards $1
Printers/scanners/fax/UPS $5
VHS/DVD/stereos/phones $2
Cell Phones FREE
Ink and Toner Cartridges FREE
TV under 19" $15
TV 20" - 29" $25
TV 30" or greater in size $35
