Available position as educational manager in East Liberty!
Applicants must have:
Master's degree in Education or related field with Teacher/Principal Certification and minimum of five years experience
Excellent problem-solving, decision making skills and leadership skills
Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
Familiarity with the department of education standards
Ability to analyze and interpret data provided from the school districts
Knowledge of education curriculum
Excellent oral, listening, written communication and presentation skills;
Computer proficient in Microsoft Suite
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Must be able to obtain Act 33/34, criminal and FBI clearances.
Current Driver’s License
Responsibilities include:
Develop, plan and implement academic activities and workshops for the
Participants and staff of the program.
Develop and identify assessment tools that will be used to develop individualized
academic plans and track academic progress of the participant of the program.
Build relationship with the schools districts and other agencies that are necessary
to support the educational component of the program.
Develop curriculum and resource library.
Maintain comprehensive, up to date and accurate records for participants of the program.
Provide documentation for monthly, quarter and annual reports.
Develop and oversee interactive homework assistance in the sites.
Develop training materials and conduct training for parents and staff.
Coordinate special educational programs for both the participants and the staff.
Hire teachers and tutors for the program
Write grants to obtain funding for the program
Attend meetings, community events, for the purpose of conveying and /or
gathering information that impacts the program.
Manage AmeriCorps volunteers.
