Peabody Students Book Signing

The Young Preservationists Association of Pittsburgh invites you to attend a book signing on June 1st, hosted by students at Peabody High School, who just authored their first book about the city's East End neighborhoods.

Entitled, "Pittsburgh's East End:  Then, Now and Later," the 100-page book is the first by a city school.  Filled with historical photographs and images of current day conditions, interviews with local leaders, and other information, the book also includes student impressions of East End neighborhoods, such as East Liberty, Larimer, and Homewood, and their vision for its future.  Student profiles are also included in the book, which describe their aspirations for themselves and their neighborhood.

The book signing will be held at the East Liberty Carnegie Library on Wed., June 1st, at 1:00 p.m.
