Walk for a Healthy Community

The 2008 Walk for a Healthy Community - an annual fundraiser presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and benefitting local health and human service agencies in Western Pennsylvania - is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, starting and ending at Heinz Field. This year's walk will benefit 37 organizations, including, from the East End, Sojourner House and Vintage Senior Center. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m., with the 5K walk starting at 9:00 a.m. A One-Mile Fun Walk begins at 9:15 a.m. For more information or to find out how to register, visit the website.
