Understanding and Evaluating the Pittsburgh Public School Board

A+ Schools and the Local Government Academy are working to develop a tool for citizens to use in understanding and evaluating the performance of the Pittsburgh Public School Board. They want to understand community priorities with respect to school board governance – how much do you know, what you think is important and how do you know it when you see it. They have scheduled a series of 1 ½ hour focus group discussions during the week of October 29 to inform their work on this project. Click here if you're interested in participating.

A+ Schools is also seeking parents and teachers who are willing to participate in a 1-1/2 hour discussion about a special celebration that A+ Schools will host on in 2008. The goal of this celebration will be to recognize and reward meaningful achievement by students and others who work in the Pittsburgh Public Schools.

The Teacher Focus Group is scheduled for Wednesday, November 7 at 4 p.m.
The Parent Focus Group is scheduled for Wednesday, November 7 at 6 p.m.

The above link will take you to an RSVP form for these focus groups.
